Cambridge is on vacation! Kate Middleton and Prince William took their children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – to the Isles of Scylla, an archipelago off the coast of Cornwall in the south-west of England, as Mirror reports. An inside source told the newspaper: “They decided to leave quickly before the children returned to school. They wanted to support our travel industry.”

Locals have already noticed the royals as the family rode a bicycle on the island of Tresco. And it seems that they are in a great mood Mirror“William and Kate rode their bikes laughing. They looked so happy enjoying the weather.” They added: “I did a double reception. They were very friendly and greeted.”

What makes a trip extraordinary? It is a nostalgia for William, who spent his childhood vacationing on the Scylla Islands with his parents, Princess Diana and Prince Charles, and his brother, Prince Harry. I wonder if he introduces children from Cambridge to their favorite childhood places?

The choice of destination also served a practical purpose. Kate and William reportedly considered vacationing elsewhere in Europe, but decided to stay in the UK amid the coronavirus crisis. Current disconnection measures require the British to be quarantined at home for two weeks after visiting certain European countries, and this will be a major problem for Cambridges, which have recently resumed their public duties as working kingdoms. Fortunately for them, there is now a heat wave in the UK – so like me, they can just imagine that they are in Spain.
