President Donald Trump condemned the US asylum laws as "a scam" on Saturday and meant that a wave of families in Central America seeking asylum in the United States are in fact dangerous members of the gang.
"The asylum program is a scam," Trump said. "Some of the hardest people you've ever seen. People who look like they should fight for UFC."
Trump made comments during a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas, Nevada. His remarks came against the backdrop of a surge in asylum seekers who overcame customs and border guards and triggered the cry of Trump on the "emergency" on the southern border.
