Although there was a small version of OTA late last month, today is the first major Android 10 update. The October security patch demonstrates eight "functional patches" for all Pixel phones ranging from gesture navigation to the Pixel Stand.
All three generations of Pixel and Pixel 3a phones receive "Gesture Navigation Stability". this should improve the new way of targeting around Android 10 by simply swiping on the bottom white bar. Despite the beta, it is easy to get buggy in stable releases even when using older navigation methods such as the 2-button.
Other enhancements to this category include fixes for "memory storage in the interface", "boot device on a device specific modes of localization" and "no previous messages" where some users report the latest problem. General "System Stability Improvements" are also featured in this Android 1
For Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, there is "Fixed Missing Messages in Pixel Stand Mode" as well as "Improve Sensor Calibration".
The October Security Patch is released today and includes several security patches, especially for the original Pixel and Pixel 2. Factory and OTA images are now available for this patch for Android 10 Pixel.
