Last month, we saw the changes that Cadillac will apply to its sedan offerings for the next model year. The 2021 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 receive significant upgrades, although they are only offered for a second year.
However, it is reported that Cadillac will offer a new package for the CT5 – more precisely, for the CT5 Sport. According to the message GM management, The CT5 Sport will receive a V Performance package designed to bridge the gap between the Sport and V-Series.
As the name implies, the V Performance package uses a performance update from the V-Series, and then added to the CT5 Sport. These upgrades include a suspension, a mechanical differential with limited slip and the recently introduced Magnetic Ride Control 4.0. GM’s patented fourth-generation suspension technology offers a 45 percent faster damping response than its predecessor.
To get the V Performance package, buyers must also choose Brembo V Performance brakes. They also need to choose the RWD model, as it will not be offered when running on all fours.
Of course, the CT5 Sport with the V Performance package will also receive the main number of updates for the 2021 model year. These include the best 12-inch all-digital device and an updated infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration. Exterior paint colors such as Red Obsession Tintcoat and Royal Spice Metallic will also be removed from the options, which will be replaced with Infrared Tintcoat. CT4-V and CT5-V can only be used on Rift Metallic paint.
GM has not announced prices for the V Performance package for the CT5 Sport, but it is expected to be revealed in the next few months or when the configurator rises to the 2021 model year.
