Warriors coach Steve Kerr posted a powerful picture on Twitter last week showing former Golden State players Divine George and Sleepy Floyd.

The two former soldiers were photographed in the uniforms of soldiers №8 and № 46, which meant the time – eight minutes and 46 seconds – that former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd̵7;s neck, which led to Floyd’s death.
So how did this tribute come true?
Sleepy Floyd explained the story during the latest episode of “Racing in America: A Candid Conversation,” which will be released Friday on NBC Sports Bay Area after “Giants Postgame Live.”
“I have a great relationship with the Warriors,” he said. “I’m still involved in a lot of communities – different projects that I’m called for. The PR department approached me and they wanted to do something to make an impact.
“I thought it was extraordinary. It’s very creative. So they sent a T-shirt, and we took some pictures (with) different angles and different background colors, and they mostly took it from there.”

The image now is Kerr’s Twitter profile, which can be a great reminder that the fight for racial equality is far from over.

As Sonny noted, there is still a lot of work ahead.
“Don’t forget. They (Warriors) want to keep it in people’s minds. People are still facing challenges,” he said. “This is what we have to fight to go forward … influencing the community individually in our own way. Having those awkward conversations – which I had with many of my friends.
“I actually cut off some of my friends (after), watching some of the things they posted about this whole situation from the beginning.”
Don’t forget to watch the whole conversation this Friday night.
