Taylor Swift used her appearances on "Live Saturday Saturday Live" to show her voice. And her many green clothing products.
The pop star served as the musical guest for the second episode of the season, which meant she had two songs to play.
First up: Lover. After she had a much more brilliant transfer of the title track of her new album at the VMA, Swift sang a solo piano for the song on Saturday. The singer broke in a green turtleneck, green trousers, green earrings, a green nail polish and a green piano with a green floor and green walls to resemble a scene from her kaleidoscopic music video Lover. The music of music looked as if it was frozen in the air, and Swift tickled the ivory and sang its romantic melody, smiling during cool lines like "I believe this magnetic force is mine, my beloved."
She finished the song with a huge smile and a small, festive flicker from her (green) piano bench.
Song # 2: The Wrong God. The live debut of Swift's song was hilarious, with a saxophonist, drummer and background singers. Swift and her voice were front and center, though she sang and slashed her microphone-free hand, wearing black sequined pants and a large black blazer. Bare light bulbs were shining all over the world, and smoke was rising from the floor.
Restrained songs buzzed on Twitter: the hashtag #TaylorOnSNL continued to trend even after SNL ended.
