MANCHESTER, CT (WFSB) – A pandemic has forced another Connecticut stronghold to close its doors forever.
Owner Billy Hoch has announced that in 55 years, Saturday, October 17, will be the last day when his place in Shady Glen in Manchester Park will be open to customers.
“The decision to close the Shady Glen restaurant in Manchester Park was a difficult one. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has significantly changed the environment and dynamics of restaurants. We have worked hard over the past 8 months to try to keep the business viable,”; Hoha said in a statement.
Hoch went on to say that loyal customers and store employees have decided to close the difficult and emotional but necessary choice.
His other place in Manchester will remain open.
