NASA will host live events when a rover-sized car takes off as part of the Atlas V United Launch Alliance (ULA) rocket Atlas V. Pre-coverage begins at 4 o’clock in the morning and the window will open for two hours Fr. 4:50 a.m. PT.

NASA’s mission is thisthis year, when the red planet is in an advantageous position relative to Earth. Skipping this window means waiting for the next chance until 2022. Perseverance can potentially start as early as mid-August, if needed.
The United Arab Emirates is successful, and July 22. All three missions are scheduled to reach Mars in February 2021.
