According to the latest report of the news channel, the request for bail of Ray Chakraborty and Shawick Chakraborty can be filed by lawyer Satish Maneshinde today in the Supreme Court of Bombay. Both Ray and Shoykik were taken into custody after the Drug Control Bureau arrested them in connection with drugs related to the case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
According to the latest developments in the drug cases of Ray Chakraborty and Shawick Chakraborty, their lawyer Satish Maneshinde is likely to file a bail today with the Bombay High Court. Earlier, the Session Court rejected Rey and Shawick’s request after the Bureau of Drug Control. The report that both Rhea and Shoykik had been remanded in custody for 14 days, along with Samuel Miranda, Dipes Savant and other addicts Zaid Vilatra and others. Now, according to the latest Times Now report, their lawyer, Satish Manesinde, can apply for bail in Bombay today.
According to Times Now, the Bombay High Court hears bail applications for two days, Monday and Thursday. As the Session Court’s order refusing to grant Ray and Shoyk’s application for bail was served on their lawyer, they were apparently unable to apply for bail. However, according to the latest updates, Rei and Shoiki’s lawyer is now likely to oppose the Session Court’s ruling on their bail applications and may file a bail application with the Bombay High Court today. Both Ray and Shoykik were arrested by the NCB in connection with alleged drug talks in the case of Sushant Singh Rajput.
In addition, the report also states that Zayed Vilatra, a drug dealer arrested by the NCB, must also challenge the Article 482 precautionary measure by videoconference in the Bombay High Court. Although Ray and Shoykik’s bail were rejected by the Session Court, their lawyer is likely to file a bail application today in Bombay for an urgent hearing so that they have time to file an application on Thursday. According to the news channel’s report, if this does not happen, they can apply by the date of the following Monday. Rhea is currently in Bikulla Prison after being arrested on alleged drug links.
Meanwhile, Jaya Saha and Shruti Modi were also reportedly summoned by the NCBs today because their names appeared too much in alleged drug conversations excavated by the executive branch with Ray and Shoyk. Meanwhile, the CBI’s investigation into Sushant’s death is ongoing, and ED is investigating the money laundering angle claimed by K.K. Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020 at his home in Mumbai.
