Samsung is finally releasing the One UI 2.5 update for one of its 2018 flagships. Today, the Galaxy Note 9 is upgraded to the latest stable version of the One UI in Germany and gets several new features in the process. The update comes with the firmware version N960FXXU6FTJ3 and you can download them live directly to your phone through it Settings »Software update menu. The One UI 2.5 firmware can also be downloaded from our archives.
Among the list of new features is support for wireless DeX, which allows you to use DeX on any TV that supports screen mirroring (although Samsung, of course, offers to use its own smart TVs). The camera has also been updated with new features. Single-shot mode now allows you to select the recording time, and you can select the video recording resolution and frame rate (24, 30, and 60 frames per second) in Video Pro mode. Samsung Keyboard has been enhanced with YouTube̵7;s search feature and the ability to use a split keyboard in landscape mode. Finally, the Messages program has a new feature that allows you to send SOS messages every 30 minutes for 24 hours.
One 2.5 user interface means the completion of major updates for the Galaxy Note 9
As with other updates, it may take several days before One UI 2.5 becomes available in your country. It is also worth mentioning that the One UI 2.5 will be the latest major update for the Galaxy Note 9, as the device has not made reductions in Samsung’s new policy on the three generations of Android updates. However, security updates will continue to be distributed monthly for at least another year, after which their frequency will decrease once every three months.
