The secret service has accused Chinese citizen Yujing Zhang of crimes committed on her visit to Mar-Lago on March 30.
The court documents indicate that this was not a simple walk in the sun
Zhang repeatedly lied to officers and agents of the Secret Service to access Mar-a-Lago by false oaths. Judicial evidence also points out that Zhang argued that she was instructed to enter Mara Lago by a Chinese man, Charles, in Shanghai, and that Zhang owned a flash drive containing "malware". at an early stage, but the Chinese intelligence agent seems to have been caught on the spot trying to mistake the president's retreat. So, on the basis of poor Zhang trade craft that attracts attention, and by offering controversial stories about his presence on Mar-Lago, and the sensitivity of the operation directed at the president, she is unlikely to become a true Chinese intelligence officer. However, this is a big deal.
Because the flash drive element suggests that Zhang was trying to implement intelligent data analysis or a relay system with which to transfer information to another location. The means of this action, Zhang's nationality, the nature of the purpose and record of the Chinese Ministry of State Security mean that the organization is the presumptive culprit here. Any organization that tries to make this invasion would appreciate that malware may work unnoticed in Mar-a-Lago for at least some time. And most offenders are not targeted at areas protected by the best defense forces in the world.
Yes, we must keep an open mind. But if MSS responds here, China must answer for it.
