Charming Johnson is no longer entertained.
"Today I'm going to step down as president," said a former superstar of the NBA in a report gathering Tuesday evening about an hour and a half before Los Angeles Lakers played their last game of the season. "I was happier when I was not a president."
Johnson served as president of the basketball team for more than two years, the last step in a long and successful businessman and philanthropist career after he left basketball in 1991 when he passed a positive HIV test. On Monday, Johnson held a three-hour meeting on the future of the team after the sixth consecutive season, reports The Associated Press.
Basketball reporters and fans were not the only ones who learned about his retirement at the end of the game.
"Someone has to tell my boss," Johnson told reporters.
His chief is the Lakers owner Jane Buss, who hired Johnson just over two years ago when she released her brother Jim, who was vice president of basketball operations. and general manager Mitch Kupchak in an attempt to change the situation after several losing seasons.

Johnson said that he simply can not collide with Bass, whom he called "my sister."
] "Have you yet told Jean?"
"No, I have not. I could not," he replied. "She does not know that I stand here because I knew that I would cry like a child in front of her."
Mr. Slava barely kept him in front of the press: "I, Now, when his boss inevitably heard this news, the Lakers made a statement that thanked Johnson for his time in the team." No more Los Angeles Lakers than Erwin Johnson " "It will always be not only the Lakers' icon, but also our family."

Johnson did not give any concrete reasons for his decision to leave
He said that he was behind "It's half way with Lebron to come back," said Johnson. "I think this team will be able to really compete for the championship with the growth of young players."
The Lakers finished their season with defeat at Portland Trail Blazers on Tuesday evening after retiring from the playoffs last month.
Previously, they were a star team from the 16 wins of the NBA Championship. But six years have passed since their last victory, and three years after they came to the playoffs.
Johnson said that did not left because of the differences he had with the coach of the three-year team, Luke Walton.
"I really like Luke," Johnson said. "We have different thoughts about different things – that's normal."
Widely reported that Leukers is expected to release Walton at the end of the regular season.
Walton told reporters that he did not know what Johnson was planning to throw. "I learned the same time that you guys," said the coach at a press conference after the match on Tuesday night.
However, Johnson realized that his referring to the future confrontation.
Tomorrow I would have to influence someone's life – to ruin their lives, "he said. "It's not fun for me, it's not who I am."
Delivering bad news – this is one of the demands of Johnson's work that he does not like.
Magic Johnson simply gave the longest, most terrible, the largest press conference I've ever seen. Simply beautifully bizarre and absolutely controversial. Nothing of this made sense – except that he was so happy and so easy to return to his old life.

The other side of things is helping players mentor like tennis champion Serena Williams and Philadelphia 76ers Guard Point Ben Simmons. under the contract. The mentoring of another player can be regarded as falsification.
Johnson was investigated by the NSA for intervention four times, including in response to a Simmons instructor's request in February. Also this year, Johnson received a $ 500,000 fine for "inadmissible contact" with Oklahoma City Agent Thunder Paul George, and another $ 50,000 for Milwaukee Bucks Jannis Antecunmpo's admirer. "I can not help young men who want me to help them," he said. "I do not like it, I like to be free."
He also said that he was tired of "choking and whispers," associated with his leadership position.
"What am I doing? I got a wonderful life," Johnson laughed. "So I'll return to that wonderful life."
