JACKSONVILLE, FL. – Jacksonville Jaguars closed on Saturday after a trained team player tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday
The team said it has consulted with the NFL, adheres to NFL protocols and conducts football activities remotely.
The Jaguars plan to host the Detroit Lions at 1pm on TIAA Bank Field on Sunday, and the team has said it still plans to play the game.
The Jaguars said they learned Friday night that the player had passed a positive test and had been given a POC test to confirm a positive result.
Jaguars have practical team players who sit together and apart from other active players during team meetings.
This is the first positive test for the Jaguars player, as Ryquell Armstead̵7;s rollback was included in the reserve list / COVID-19 on September 5.
