Google Now receives the TechCrunch button

Traditionally, Google's assistant has always lived under the home button on Android phones, but as MWC has announced today, LG, Nokia, Xiaomi, TCL and Vivo are going to launch phones with dedicated button assistants, just like Samsung [19659002[NewphoneswithalauncherthisweekareLG G8 ThinQ and K40 and Nokia 3.2 and 4.2. Future Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G and Mi 9, as well as new Vivo phones (including Vivo V15 Pro) and TCL will also be equipped with a special Assistant button. As a result, Google expects more than 100 million devices to be available in the near future.

With the special button Google can also create some new features on Android OS . to some of the auxiliary functions that have traditionally always been at a distance.

As expected, one-touch button will appear as an assistant, as well as a long press on the phone. Double tapping will open a visual help snapshot feature that provides you with contextual information about your day and location (similar to the past Google Now). Long press activates what Google calls the "radio station feature". This ensures that the assistant listens to longer queries that, according to Google, "are ideal for email or long text messages."

We are now building these buttons on the phones (and we can probably assume that their own new Pixel device Google or the legendary pixel 3 is also low). They, of course, facilitate the identification of the Helper, and may make people use it more often ̵

1; and this is definitely what Google hopes for.
