It is unclear whether the deal will force Samsung to abandon Bixby and the app store altogether, or how Bloomberg says whether it should simply make these services less integrated on their own devices. No company confirmed the negotiations when the publication requested a statement.
A Google spokesman said:
“Like all Android device manufacturers, Samsung can create its own app store and digital assistant. This is one of the great features of the Android platform. And although we regularly talk to partners about ways to improve user experience, we do not plan to change that. “
Samsung̵7;s statement states:
“Samsung remains committed to our own ecosystem and services. At the same time, Samsung works closely with Google and other partners to offer the best mobile experience for our users. “
