Today, Canon has announced its latest addition to the famous series of DSLR EOS Rebel cameras. The new Canon EOS Rebel SL3 weighs pounds and features 4x video, DIGIC 8 processor and AF dual-pixel autofocus.
The EOS Rebel SL3 measures 4.82 x 3.65 x 2.75 inches (122.4 x 92.6 x 69.8 mm) and weighs 15.84 ounces (449 grams) with a charged battery and memory card. # 39; Compatible with Canon EF and EF-S, the camera has a 24.1-megapixel APS-C image sensor. This is the first DSLR in the EOS Rebel lineup to have a dual pixel autofocus with eye detection through Live View. The Autofocus Eye Detection AF will work in real-time in Servo mode for photos and videos. With 3,975 selected autofocus points, the Live View has a 0.03 second focus rate and now has the ability to use the AF Spot area AF-S One-Shot and AF-C AI Servo. Spot AF is also available for taking photos through an optical viewfinder, where the EOS Rebel SL3 has nine AF points unchanged from SL2.
Continuous shooting is possible up to 5 frames per second through the viewfinder. In Live View, the EOS Rebel SL3 shoots 5 frames per second in One-Shot AF mode and 3.5 fps AI Servo AF.
The recording of 4K films finally came to the EOS Rebel series. The camera records up to 4 Kbytes at 24 frames per second and must crop 1,6x at this resolution. The Full HD 1080p video can record up to 60 frames per second without triming the frame, and there is an HDR option that is recorded at 30 fps. There's also a 4K interim video mode that can be set at intervals of 1 second to 60 minutes, and record up to 3600 shots. EOS Rebel SL3 uses Canon's LP-E17 and CIPA batteries for 1630 images via the viewfinder or 350 photos using Live View.
