SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) – Dr. Anthony Foci now suggests people wear goggles or other types of eye protection to better protect themselves from COVID-19.
This is in addition to face masks.
The CDC has already recommended that people wear some kind of eye patch, but neither the CDC nor Dr. Foki has been pressured to wear glasses because they are not as readily available as face masks.
Dr. Deborah Birks, White House coronavirus response coordinator, recommended the use of face masks in addition to masks.
“The mask protects others by blocking the droplets and blocking the pollution that occurs when you speak, sing or talk, or even breathe,”; Birks told Fox & Friends on Thursday morning.
“It’s in the face – we think it can protect people and reduce the ability to touch the eyes and spread the virus, as well as the droplets that come to them. So there are two different technologies for two different reasons. “
