In case you didn’t know, Warner Bros. The gaming division, which includes developers such as Rocksteady (Batman Arkham) and NetherRealm (Mortal Kombat, Injustice), is for sale. Priced at about $ 4 billion, the unit is certainly not cheap, and so only a few mega-publishers have shown interest. As previously reported, similar Microsoft, Activision and Take Two have obviously sniffed – but it may well be that EA is taking the first step.
During the company’s last financial call, CFO Blake Jorgensen hinted that the acquisition could be taken seriously. When asked about creating new studios ̵1; with a question that offers such a “big asset” as Warner Bros. “Gaming division – Jorgensen says EA is” more interested than ever “in acquiring new talent.
We don’t want to read yet also Before Jorgensen’s comments, it is important to remember that this is a very big business. EA management will not just come out and say that the company intends to make its application. If this deal really goes down, we will probably only get confirmation after it’s done.
