Microsoft is currently considering an authentication error that occurs in Office 365 systems.

“Existing customer sessions are not affected, and any user who joins an existing session will be able to continue their sessions,” said Microsoft.
In its Twitter status account, Microsoft said that the root cause was a recent change and that it had decided to undo the change back.
“We have rolled back the changes that are likely to be the source of the impact and are monitoring the environment to confirm that the service is being restored,” the company said, then said 14 minutes later that it did not see what it expected to see.
“We are not seeing an increase in the number of successful connections since the recent change was canceled. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions while we investigate the root cause.”
