He finished a quarter with three straight and three arrows to push the piston leaders to 36-20 in the second quarter. In the first quarter, pistons were 7 to 10 with 3-point range.
The pistons did not respond to Sabonis in the second.
He started the case with a short jump. A 17-foot growth deficit of 12. The tip of the kickback reduced the deficit to 10. A quick break reduced the deficit to eight.

John Lewer may have been a better option since he was rather a big man, but the coach Pistons Dwan Casey stayed with Patchulia in the second half.
