British Prime Minister Teresa May has arrived at a two-day Summit of the leaders of the European Union on March 21, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium.
European leaders decide on Wednesday whether to give Britain one more extension until its departure from the bloc, which will be held on April 12th.
The conditions that Britain would have to comply would not include a re-negotiation of the withdrawal agreement (Brexit agreement). The UK may go earlier than the recently agreed departure date if the deal is in force and Tusk once again reminded that Britain could cancel article 50 (sending process) at any time. An EU leaders meeting offers a continuation, but leaves the date uncertain. He also notes that enlargement can not be used to undermine the EU or start trade talks.
