Beresheet, space spacecraft Space IL, which is scheduled to land on the moon on April 11, has successfully completed its most important maneuver on Thursday, Thursday.
The maneuver, called Lunar Capture, was an important moment in traveling the module to the moon when it came out of the earth's gravity and entered the orbit of the moon.
With the success of the Moon Hijack, Israel became the seventh country that entered the orbit of the Moon. It takes a few hours to finally confirm the new Bereshet path.
The spacecraft was now captured by the gravity of the moon and began to circle it. Together, the Moon and Bereshet rotate around the Earth.
To date, the spacecraft traveled in Earth's orbit, and at the beginning of this week reached the nearest point to the planet, only 1700 kilometers, before continuing the path to the landing site for months, about 400,000 kilometers.
See the successful maneuver below.
