He came, saw, ate their lunch. Bill Barr, denying a meal break, indulged instead of chatting with Democratic fans.
Another congressional hearing, another disaster Dem. They planned the public hanging of the Attorney General and spent weeks designing the scaffold. He is corrupt, a liar, a beggar, they and their media servants have assured us, and the Judiciary Committee will reveal everything.
Two obstacles quickly became apparent. The first is that the demos were led by Bishop Jerry Nadler, whose madness is surpassed only by his misfortune.
The start was delayed because Nadler was involved in a minor car accident. This was obviously a sign, but Nadler did not hint at clues, so he plowed forward in a crash with a super-heavyweight opponent in all directions.
Nadler specializes in fools, demanding that former Special Defender Robert Mueller testify a year ago, only to see the hysteria of Russia and Russia being shattered on national television. Then Nadler, trusting President Trump forever, did such a horrible job during the first impeachment hearings against Ukraine that Speaker Nancy Pelosi neutralized him and handed over the task to the rapper. Adam Schiff.
Still, Nadler is a slow student, and he was there on Tuesday, opening the attack on AG with allegations of lies, fake news and slanderous attacks on law enforcement, Barr and Trump. It was so exaggerated, so ineffective and unsupported that he had zero chance to create a scene for a meaningful interrogation.
Then again an honest interrogation was not the intention. Pelosi̵7;s house only kills the characters.
Recently caught on camera calling Antifa’s violence in Portland a “myth,” Nadler reiterated the point. He said Barr “endangered Americans and violated their constitutional rights by flooding federal law enforcement on the streets of American cities… To violently and unconstitutionally suppress dissent.”
Hundreds of black-masked antifa-types who use weapons, knives, Molotov cocktails, commercial-grade fireworks, lasers and tasers to attack federal agents on federal property are now called “dissent.” Understand.
After Jim Jordan v. DP Jordan opposed the FBI’s espionage attack on Trump’s campaign and played videos of publishers calling the violence in Portland and elsewhere “peaceful protests,” the air left the room before Barr spoke.
When he got his chance, he wasn’t just defending his property – he was offended by demanding an end to “police demonization” and a dangerous defense movement.
He said the war on law enforcement was making the police “more dangerous” and causing crime to rise across America – killing the same people the Black Blacks Matter movement says it wants to help. .
“The main cause of death of young black males is murder,” he said, adding that about 7,500 are killed each year, and 90 percent are other black Americans.
“Each of these lives matters,” the attorney general said.
Fortunately, someone is not afraid that the truth will cancel it.
This was Barr’s first many times, turning tables on his potential tormentors. He often seemed bored, but when he was allowed to speak, his words cut through the room like a knife. He called the attacks in Portland and elsewhere “an attack on the United States government.”
He later asked Nadler & Co. for their silence in conditions of obvious criminal activity.
“This is the first time in my memory that the leaders of one of our great political parties, the Democratic Party, do not come out and condemn the brutal violence,” he said. “Can’t we just say that violence against federal courts must stop? Can we hear something like that?
The room was silent. The Attorney General challenged their loyalty, and no Democrat objected. For them, it was just another day at the office.
Almost every time I watch Barr in extended interviews or read one of his keynote speeches, I find myself saying, “If only.”
If only Barr had been Trump’s first attorney general, the last four years would have been radically different. Bob Mueller could have retired because there was never real evidence of a Russian conspiracy, not even enough, we now know, to launch an FBI investigation.
It was all gathered to thwart Trump during the campaign and then extend his presidency. But because Trump chose Jeff Session AG, and because Session, a supreme act of selfishness, hired him, knowing he would leave to oversee the FBI probe, the nation was led through a fighter jet.
Dems was able to cow deputy AG Rod Rosenstein’s appointment of Mueller and he managed to put the White House under a cloud of suspicion for almost three years. All these leaks and flashy headlines – they were all just a game out of nowhere. Some were pursite “nothing burgers” awards.
The entire episode, which featured Jim Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan, Hillary Clinton and other uncompromising co-authors of the Obama-Biden administration, was the dirtiest dirty trick in American political history. And although there was no agreement, Dems and most of the media never denied the insinuation, which suggests that Trump is a Russian agent and illegitimate president.
Rising political violence, which accounts for 99 percent of the far left, is a direct result, but most Democrats do not dare to condemn the uprising. They are saving their conviction for federal officers who are being attacked.
One Tuesday, Barr said bluntly, “We have to take a stand.” He talked to Congress, but he meant all of us.
