The senior gymnast from the University of Aubarn seemed to break both legs during her routine during the weekend. Samantha Serio competed at the NCAA regional gymnastics finale in Baton Rouge until her terrible injury left the audience in shock.
Serio, who earned all the awards of the TRC in 2017 and 2018, was on the first pass of his usual night when she took a devastating fall. The video of the trauma shows that she got clumsily on her feet after the air turned over. Medical workers and trainers treated her for almost ten minutes before she was finally taken out of the floor. The crowd gave her an ovation when she left.

"She is the heart and soul of the team," said Serio head coach Jeff Hraba. "This is the fact that she has been teaming for four years."
A team representative could not comment on Serio's injury, but told CBS News that she had an operation on Monday.
Cerio, who specialized in engineering, announced Sunday at Instagram that she left the sport after nearly two decades. She also thanked her followers on Twitter for their support.
"After 18 years, I will hang up the handle and leave the chalk behind my back, can not be proud of the man who did gymnastics," – she wrote. "It may not have ended as I planned, but nothing happens as planned."
"I am sincerely grateful for all the support and prayers that I have received!"
