You’d think Sony would be happy to downgrade the PlayStation Store at the developer’s request, but we’ve been hearing for weeks that the Japanese giant is, well, less useful in this department. The last to speak is Lucas Papa, The Return of Fame of Abra Dinn, which is now almost twice as cheap on almost all platforms – except, as you may have guessed, the PlayStation 4.
When asked if Sony would get a discount, here’s what Dad said:
Separately, this would not mean much, but this is not the first time we have heard such stories. In fact, one halo poster ResetEra collected all the individual complaints of developers who could not reduce their games on the PS Store. This is really amazing, because we can only imagine that such promotions increase the total sales for developers, from which the Japanese giant cut off 30%.
This is probably extremely annoying for teams that make a living, and although the PlayStation generally has an installation base that is too large to ignore, look, it can’t make the PS4 a particularly attractive development platform. Hopefully, this is something that the manufacturer can fix quickly, because it’s definitely a bad view from where we’re sitting.
Hell, this author would buy Return of Din Din for half price! This is bad news for everyone!
