The stewardess for a national airline of Israel is in a coma after the contract of the bark, which she may have picked up in the Big Apple, according to a report.
Israeli health officials told CNN that the 43-year-old El-Al stewardess now has encephalitis, brain inflammation and complications of a potentially deadly virus – which she may have entered in New York, Israel, or on a flight between these two places.

A woman has been vaccinated as a child, but received only one dose that is effective only about 93%. Two doses of the vaccine, which began in the United States in 1989, increase its efficacy to about 97%, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"I knew it would happen sooner or later, Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease specialist at Vanderbilt University, told CNN. "We have a recovery of a serious viral infection with the population that holds the vaccine from their children, and now it extends beyond the limits of this population."
Grotto said that there were 3920 cases of measles in Israel between March 2018 and April. According to CNN, there were fewer than 1000 people in the United States.
In New York, however, 329 cases of measles have been registered, mainly in the Brooklyn Orthodox Jewish districts of Williamsburg and Boro Park. These diagnoses account for approximately 59% of the 555 cases in the United States this year.
