CHICAGO (Reuters) – On the night of July, a gunman opened fire at an industrial building in Aurora, Illinois.
"We have an active rifle incident at 641 Archer Av. This is an active scene. Please avoid the area," Aurora Police Department said in tweets shortly after 14:00.
The city of Aurora, approximately approximately 80.5 kilometers west of Chicago, sent a tweeter about an hour later that the suspect was arrested.
3 PM SHOWER WAITING! The area is still in the castle! More information will be provided soon, "- said the city.
At least one person died during an attack, said spokesman for the coroner's district.
Four policemen and several civilians were wounded during an attack, State Police Chief Justice Chris Southwood, Illinois President of the Brotherhood Police, said in a statement.
Two of the wounded during the firing were taken to Rush Copley's Medical Center in Aurora, where they are being treated for life-threatening injuries, said the Cortin Sattlach Hospital's press service in an e-mail to Reuters.

Video on local media showed numerous police cars surrounding the large commercial building in Aurora, the land covered with snow.
Witness John Probst told CNN in an interview that he had seen a rifle. – a fellow running along the aisle of the production room with a gun equipped with a laser gun. Probst told the network that he had seen people bleed.
The Western Aurora School District 129 said on Twitter that all students in the district are detained in a "lockout" in the direction of the county sheriff.
US spokesman Donald Trump said he knew about the incident.
"The president was informed and is monitoring the current situation in Aurora, Illinois," said Sarah Sanders in a written statement.
