5 common problems of Instant Pot and how to fix them

My Instant Pot (also called Instapot) is a huge part of my kitchen. I use it all the time .

Therefore, when she ceases to work, I admit that there is a chaos. I figured out how to fix the most common problems and found that most of them were just a fix. Here is what you need to know to save your installer and work too.

Problem 1: Dead Screen

No matter what button you click, nothing happens. There is no sound signal and nothing happens on the screen.

Correction: Do not worry, the cord is probably not attached completely. Remove the plug on the back of the instant pot and push it inside, firmly.

Task 2: The screen shows "Ovht"

Your Instant Pot has stopped cooking and has a strange Ovht code on the screen.

Correction: Ovht means "overheating". This means that most likely your food is burned inside a closed pot. The "C5" code on the screen also indicates that your pot is too hot.

Quickly release the pressure and remove the internal pot. The chance is, you did not put enough moisture in the pot that made everything warm up and burn. Next time, carefully follow the recipe instructions, how much fluid to add to the ingredients. Beeping means the bank is overheating because there is not enough liquid in the jar. This will let you know before everything starts to burn, and the screen will show Ovht code. Quickly free up any accumulated pressure and add more fluid to the inner pot. fix: Check the small button with steam release handle. If it is raised, push it away. The button should be down so that the lid is opened or closed.

If this does not work, make sure that the seal is in the right place. It should be filled close to the edge of the lid.

Problem: "noPr" is displayed on the screen

The "noPr" code on the screen means that the bank does not create pressure as it should.

Correction: This problem is usually associated with an impermeable cover, or the steam release handle is not fully sealed. First check the steam release knob and make sure it should be.

If the handle is already in the correct position, quickly release the remaining pressure, remove the lid and allow it to cool down. Then look at the seal. It is probably not in place or dirty, which prevents its compaction. Here's how to clean the seal and the other part of the Instapot

Another reason may be that the bathtub does not have enough fluid to create pressure. Check out your recipe.
